Gallica. A beautiful summer flowering Gallica that has flat quartered flowers of textured velvet in a rich deep red/purple tone. Dark green foliage, almost thorn-less stems and a delightful strong fragrance. An ancient variety, pre 1700 often described as "the perfect old garden Rose".

Bourbon. Firstly, this Rose has nothing to do with Vince Martin! Originating from France in 1874 it grows into a tall shrub that flowers abundantly in summer. The blooms are beautifully fragrant, fully double, globular and rose pink with splashes of deep carmine. Light green, healthy foliage
Commandant Beaurepaire We are not expecting to have this plant in the foreseeable future Gallica. An unusual rose that grows quite tall with strong arching branches. It bears single, deep pink simple flowers which aren't complicated at all. An attractive pale central zone highlights the prominent yellow stamens. Flowers mainly in summer. Good autumn hips and a soft fragrance

Portland. A unusual rose with grey green foliage and large flowers of rich warm pink that emit a heady fragrance. The continuously produced flowers are excellent for cutting. Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Truly lovely and a reliable performer. 1863. Comte de Chambord We are not expecting to have this plant in the foreseeable future China. This is such a pretty rose bred in France in 1902. The almost single blooms are shades of soft orange and pink highlighted with red. And oh the perfume. Flowers from summer to autumn. Lovely. Assume named after Zoe Talon AKA Comtesse du Cayla and mistress of Louis XVIII.

A typical moss rose with whiskered buds that open to quartered deep red to blackish purple blooms. Relatively small plant that has coarse foliage and lots of thorns but oh so beautiful in bloom. Fragrant and repeats well. Can be grown in a pot. 1873.

Damask. An enchanting old rose that became known around 1848 but is certainly older than that. The fully double purple blooms have an exquisite fragrance. The new foliage has a bronze tinge to it that contrasts nicely with the bright green, more mature leaves.
